Introducing Ian Walker, NFF Referee Development Officer and Hayley Stirling, Girls & Womens Football Development Coach. Also, Angela Lee-Hussien has an expanded role as Football Development Administrator and Girls & Women's coordinator.

Ian Walker

Ian has been appointed NFF Referee Development Officer.  Ian was an active referee and a member of the National League panel of referees.

After coaching referees on the National League in the 2007/2008 season Ian decided to have a break from football but on moving to the North Shore in 2011, felt the time was right to become involved in the game again so he began coaching newer NFF referees, repeating this in 2012.

NFF CEO Paul Cropp says "we are excited and delighted to have someone of the calibre of Ian join the Federation".

Ian brings to NFF a wealth of experience in refereeing along with knowledge in the coaching, training and mentoring of referees.  This coupled with his business experience added to his excellent suitablity for the role.

Ian sees exciting times ahead for all referees, officials, coaches and players within NFF as he embarks on his referee development programme.  As he says "my aim is for referees to strive to provide an environment for players to safely showcase their skills and abilities for the enjoyment of all."
