Takapuna AFC have 8 players registered for this season’s U19s Sunday Combined League. They are EITHER looking for more players and a Coach OR joining together with another Club who may have a similar number of players to form a composite team for the 2013 season. A Coach would still be required for the composite team. NFF allows a composite team to form for one season, players retain their original Club registration status. It’s up to the Clubs involved to come to an agreement regarding fees.

All existing and new players interested in playing under 17 and under 19 men for Oratia United are to attend a meeting at the Parrs Park clubrooms on Thursday 7th February at 7.00pm. The under 17 team will be coached by Level 3 coach Kim Beale and assisted by Level 3 coach Hyun Roh. The under 19’s will be coached by Director of Football and FIFA Pro Licence holder Steve Cain. The under 19’s will be playing in the senior Best of the West tournament starting the following night 8th February. Trials for the under 17’s will be held Sunday 10th at Parrs Park. After an extremely successful campaign in the inaugural AFF/NFF Conference last season, Oratia United have secured promotion to NRFL Division 2 for the 2013 season. The coaching team that oversaw promotion, headed up by 1st team Head Coach, Lee Gosshawk, has been retained for the coming season.
We currently have a young and ambitious group of players but are looking to add to this. We are therefore looking for experienced players who have played at this level of football or above, that can add value to this outstanding group of players and match our high expectations for the coming season. We are also interested in ambitious, talented young players
The club’s Director of Football and former NZ u17 and FIFA Pro Licence holder Stephen Cain has been appointed as the u19 coach for 2013 as Oratia looks to further develop its youth program under his guidance. This is a really exciting time for Oratia United with our junior academies growing and the opening of the all-weather floodlit FIFA approved playing surface in 2011. With further development planned for Parrs Park over the next couple of years we can boast some of the best facilities for football in Auckland. The combination of these facilities and our favourable location mean that now we are offering Northern league football we are a very attractive option for all local football players.
