Coaching is a key part of Football.
Developing more and better coaches across the Federation is a key objective of Northern Football Federationís Technical Department.
In 2011 New Zealand Football and Northern Football is piloting the Whole of Football Plan in the region and with great success. The Whole of Football plan enables players, administrators, refereeís and COACHES to grow with the game. There is a specialist coaching pathway in place to align with the Whole of Football Plan and coaches from all over the region can access courses and workshops.
There are different sections to this part of the website to help inform and guide coaches from grass roots to elite.
Under the Coaching Pathway sections you will see the progression of courses designed so coaches can specialize in the age group they work with. This pathway ranges from introduction courses to high level elite courses across Junior, Youth and Senior Football. Under each section of the coaching pathway you will find a brief synopsis of each course and what it aims to achieve.
There is also a course calendar section that lists the next upcoming courses within the region so you can plan your own development as a coach.
Finally there is a resources section which helps coaches access online guidance as part of their personal development.
